British indie rock band The Wedding Present, was formed in Leeds in 1985. Led by guitarist/vocalist David George, the group's only constant member. Their brilliant debut album, George Best, featuring the singles ''Everyone Thinks He Looks Daft,'' ''My Favourite Dress,'' ''Anyone Can Make a Mistake'' and ''Shatner''.
