Dlina Volny "Dazed" [Purple Vinyl]

Hailing from Minsk, the capital of Belarus and also home to Molchat Doma, post-punk trio Dlina Volny call their sound Brut Pop: a delicate mix between the brutalist architecture they live among & the Soviet Pop with which they grew up.

Crisp, bittersweet vocals emerge from a reverb-laden synthesizer haze creating a cold, dark, rhythmic soundscape, yet melodic and ethereal at the same time.

Originally released digital only in 2021, "Dazed" eventually saw a cassette release in 2022 on the Russian label Sierpien. The band was then quickly snatched up by Italians Do It Better Records and an initial vinyl offering on red vinyl quickly sold out. This repress on purple vinyl comes directly from the band, who were kind enough to sell us a few copies directly, and will not last long.
