Nothing You Don’t Know is a new project by producer E. Dan, working as ID Labs, integral in building the foundation of Mac Miller’s sound, released via Warner Records and ReMember (Mac’s own label imprint). The album started as an exploration of the types of soundscapes that E would have liked to explore with Mac and served to fill a creative void that opened after Mac's passing. Fittingly, ID Labs enlisted Mac’s brother and longtime visual collaborator, Miller McCormick, to create the artwork and visualizers for the project. It's the second instrumental album ID Labs has made. "Nothing You Don’t Know" is a line from an Amira Baraka poem featured in the Roots song ‘Something In The Way Of Things (In Town)’. The full line is ‘I know things you know and nothing you don't know’ and is a beautiful way to express that you have something to say that the listener may be familiar with but containing a perspective they may not have encountered.
